Working across Tribes - in an extremely agile and constantly changing environment - to develop and improve our architecture processes and practices, provide architectural leadership, governance and ensure the organisation stays compliant, without overly impacting our ways of working, delivery and productivity.
Own and run the Architecture Review Process along with key stakeholders; which ensures all significant work is peer reviewed, is compliant (SOX, PCI, GDPR, gambling regulations) and architecturally sound. Ensuring teams are e ngaging with other Tribes and compliance teams (security, data protection, commercial, etc.) early in the design process to ensure any considerations are addressed as early as possible to avoid rework and wasted effort / spend.
Chair Cross Tribe Architecture Review sessions which comprises regular revie ws , attended by H eads of Architecture , Lead or Principal Architects from each Tribe. Ensuring alignment, design improvements, peer review, maintain clear technical direction and governance.
Architecture design authority and subject matter lead for key cross Tribe initiatives , r ecent examples include AWS platform strategy, Data Privacy / GDPR and SOX initiatives.
Working with our service, procurement, legal teams to improve the way we manage and select the third parties we work with.
Coordinate and host architecture team offsite days and lean coffee workshops , aiming to improve cohesion, alignment, governance and improved ways of working across the architecture team.
Improve and m aintain architecture artefacts and templates across Tribes, such as HLDs, Impact Assessments etc. to ensur e SBG best practice, compliance obligations are addressed and documented e tc.
Develop our Data Governance capabilities.
Run and chair various cross Tribe 'Working Group' to develop processes, approaches and solutions which can be shared across Tribes in order to become deliver initiatives in a more effective and joined up way.
Previous roles as a senior (enterprise or broad domain) architecture role in a n agile, constantly changing environment.
Presenting, influencing and working with senior stakeholders in Technology and across the wider business (Directors and Heads of Department).
Working with a variety of stakeholders to develop processes that provide a balance of agility and control.
Working in regulated environment s (ideally in the gambling industry, but experience in other regulated industries is helpful) , providing compliance documentation and working with the regulators during consultations to help ensure regulation is fit for purpose.
Developing, documenting and maintaining controls for SOX, PCI and data protection.
Application architecture in an online Gambling or other highly volume web site (ideally transactional) B2C industry experience.
Working with in-house and third - party development teams and external COTS vendors.
