Equipment Officer

About the role


Reporting to the Property and Equipment Manager the role of the FF&E Equipment Officer is to help ensure the FF&E department delivers on its maintenance obligations by working closely with the reactive and preventative maintenance team leaders to ensure maintenance is delivered efficiently with minimal disruption to clinical services. The role is being offered on a 6am to 6pm rotating roster.

 

About you
 

As the FF&E Equipment Officer you will have the ability to manage your time efficiently and possess strong problem-solving skills. You will be able to work autonomously and work well within a team environment. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to identify gaps or issues and work with the FF&E Maintenance Officer, team leaders and asset management team to develop improvement strategies.  You are a respectful and professional individual who demonstrates exceptional values in everything you do.


To be successful in this role you will have:
 

  • Demonstrated experience in a customer service environment
  • Experience in a technical healthcare environment (highly desirable)
  • Successfully completed Year 12 or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Take personal responsibility for the delivery of maintenance obligations
  • Demonstrated experience ensuring service delivery issues are resolved in accordance with program and timeframe objectives
  • The ability to make clear judgments around matters which can be handled effectively without escalation
  • The ability to assess occupational health and safety needs to meet job requirements
  • The ability to foster a collaborative team spirit focused on service delivery

 

This is a position of trust and responsibility and to support this we will conduct a thorough probity assessment, which includes a national police check as an essential selection component for this role.
