Executive Assistant - Citizen Services 
Full Time, Permanent 

Between £35,000 to £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience


Here at Serco, we are seeking an Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive executive and business administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team.


To succeed in this role, you will need strong organisation skills, initiative to improve administrative processes, a proactive forward-thinking approach and sound commercial judgment. You will have highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a broad range of individuals, whilst also operating independently.  


The team are highly dynamic and innovative, operating in a fast-paced, exciting environment. You will bring a fresh approach and be willing to get stuck into some key projects to support the team.


As part of this you will:

  • Show excellent organisation skills, including extensive diary and meeting management (including planning and preparation), using Outlook and Teams
  • Prioritise conflicting needs effectively and handle matters expeditiously, diplomatically, and proactively
  • Hold responsibility for exercising appropriate levels of confidentiality and discretion, remaining tactful and discreet in dealing with matters of a sensitive nature
  • Be a point of contact for SLT both internally and externally
  • Support with drafting e-mails, correspondence, presentations, reports, and formatting documents to professional standards and in line with Serco brand guidelines
  • Liaise with Serco colleagues for the preparation of monthly performance review reports, project documentation and correspondence
  • Ensure all on-boarding requirements (including induction meetings) for new starters within the leadership team are fulfilled and completed on time
  • Process outgoing purchase orders and incoming invoices via SAP Guided Buying


What you will need to do the role:

  • You will already be working or have recent previous experience as an Executive Assistant or similar and possess excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to draft documentation at professional standards
  • A proactive and problem-solving approach to work
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills in Outlook, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of SAP, concur (for travel and expenses) is desirable but not essential to the role
