London, City of London, West End | Accountancy, Finance Manager

With roots in London and the Far East our client supplies innovative solutions to local and international investors. Over the past ten years they have facilitated close to £1 billion in aggregate property investments and the signs for growth are strong.

The role is a varied role focused on 3 key aspects of the Accounting function as set out below in the scope of works:

1. Month End Close

P2P - Purchase 2 Payment

 Managing and maintain both operational costs and overheads cost across the group of companies
 Operational costs - including payments to subcontractors in line with the Payment certificates, authorised payments, filing of CIS monthly returns, verification of contractor details, handling of queries
 Overheads - Ensuring costs are managed & maintained efficient and effectively to achieve best value to our client, in terms of process, buying power and flexibility to match changing demand
 Review and maintain cash via strong candidate control over bank rec's and payment reports
 Expenses, Petty cash and credit card management

O2C - Order to Cash

 S/L - Issuing invoices, posting receipts, inter-company recharge and Management charges
 Banking and cash management, ensuring the Cash books are updated , reconciled and debtor days are reduced
 Acquisitions and disposals: Sales and purchasing of properties including postings and journals

R2R - Record to Report

 Salary journals, Balance sheet reconciliations including WIP/project and Intercompany reconciliation
 Monthly Management Packs and Consolidation; Includes depreciation journals, prepayments and accruals.
 Liaising with auditors, answering audit queries, preparing audit file with lead audit schedules and supporting documents in producing the Statutory Accounts
 Setting up new bank accounts and due diligence work
 Assisting on insurance matters, gathering necessary data for insurance companies for getting insurance quotations.
 Ad-hoc reports and analysis requested by Finance Director and other Group Directors

2. Group Level - Analysis of Costs and Revenues

 Variance analysis for the difference between actuals and expected relating to the Groups costs and revenues
 Contribution per project / revenue stream

3. Budgets and Forecasting

 To provide project budgets, milestones and organisational Budgets
 Cash Flow Forecasting and project forecasting

Person Specification

The successful candidate will be ambitious and proactive person with a desire to represent the Finance function across the organisation. Building trust and credibility through their eye for detail, analytics and understanding of their customer's needs (weather internal or external). This person will have a desire to grow the role in line with the organisation growth and their own personal growth.

Other personal requirements are in their skill, competency, experience and academic qualifications as set out below;

Personal Skills

* Well organised, able to prioritise tasks and work under pressure on a diverse portfolio
* Strong communication skills both verbally and written
* Proactive individual who can work autonomously but also as part of a larger team

Personal Competencies

* Ability to perform consolidations
* Ability to produce Financial Statements
* Strong knowledge of UK (FRS102)
* Good understanding of corporation tax
* Ability to produce and submit VAT returns

Personal Experience

* Minimum 6 - 8 years commercial property accounting
* Preferably with experience focussed on shopping centres
* Experience working with Sage L50 or similar integrated accounting package
* Experience working with Statutory Accounts software and Preparation Package

Personal Qualifications

* ACCA, ACA or CIMA Qualified
