The Job Opportunity

 To support Serco's continuous growth and delivery of world class services, we are currently bidding for a new project in Saudi Arabia and we are looking for a Privatization Project Lead.

 The hiring for this position is subject to contract award.

Key accountabilities

  • Providing strategic financial and commercial leadership and advice to the Project Manager
  • Ensuring the adequacy of financial controls to underpin the achievement of the Contract strategy and Project objectives.
  • Provide Financial Analysis subject matter expertise across internal and external project stakeholders either according to the strategic plan or in response to entity request
  • Development of Financial Modelling and tools
  • Development of incentives and financial tools
  • Lead the process that monitors, reviews and challenges all financial aspects of commercial negotiations to ensure key financial risks and opportunities have been identified and mitigated, and in particular that there is completeness and robustness of business model
  • Providing accurate and timely finance and commercial information.
  • Having an awareness of the key financial risks and opportunities facing the project, and leading the delivery of innovative initiatives, aimed at addressing those risks for the project.
  • Development and analysis of differing financial scenarios
  • Financial evaluation of project feasibility, financial viability as well as the risks and opportunities associated with the financial analysis of the privatization projects under the client's portfolio.
  • Development of financial models as well as optimal financing structure for certain privatization projects
  • Assist the consultancy team in order to coordinate closely with client's Finance teams and stakeholders

 

HSQE Responsibilities and Information Security Responsibilities

  • Understanding of personal responsibilities and contribution to achieving compliance with the Information Management Systems (IMS) requirements, (including but not limited to competence to perform safety critical roles, legal requirements, control measures arisen from environmental impacts and aspects, job safety analysis and information security risk assessment) and the potential consequences of departure from the arrangements in place to deliver the commitments stated in the policies statements above;
  • Promote a good HSQE and Information Security culture among their peers, subcontractors and third parties (if any);
  • Protect information assets and data.

 

What we are looking for in our candidates:

  • Proficient in the use of PC, spreadsheets and other software applications;
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel as well as financial tools
  • Knowledge of both international and local (KSA) statutory and legislated requirements;
  • Knowledge of international best practice in privatization projects
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills and proven ability to effectively communicate (in both oral and in written form) with all levels of management, employees, customers, contractors and other stakeholders;
  • Ability to motivate and manage change as well as work in a multi discipline and multi-functional team;
  • Demonstrated commitment to the processes of continuous improvement and quality customer service;

 

Specific Requirements:

  • 10 years' experience in the privatization and partnership between public and private sectors
  • Proficient in the use of PC, spreadsheets and other software applications;
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel as well as financial tools
  • Knowledge of both international and local (KSA) statutory and legislated requirements;
  • Knowledge of international best practice in privatization projects
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills and proven ability to effectively communicate (in both oral and in written form) with all levels of management, employees, customers, contractors and other stakeholders;
