Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a well-known social housing company based in the East London area who are looking for a brand new Fleet Manager to join their team.

They are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager who is experienced in setting up a new fleet and implementing new work processes.

• Understand the existing fleet position, conducting a gap analysis to determine the current situation and the business' requirements in the short, medium and long term.
• Carry out the necessary procedures to gain and manage an Operators license.
• Source required vehicles in line with the companies needs.
• Oversee the future procurement options of the business regarding fleet.
• Manage the day to day operations (servicing, MOT's , cover vehicles etc) and fuel cards.
• Being responsible for monitoring and tracking of all vehicle activities.
• Overseeing vehicles accident damaged repairs.
• Manage Insurance requirements.
• Manage the use of Parking Permits.
• Keep up to date with relevant industry regulations, H&S legislation and company processes and procedures.

Key Knowledge:

• Previous experience of setting up a new fleet, ideally in a construction or housing environment

• Ability to develop, deliver lead and fleet operational improvement strategies.
• Good understanding of Fleet Management best practices and management systems.
• Must be able to plan and organise.
• Full, clean driving licence.
