FM Services Officer
Full time, 40 hours (Monday- Friday)
£26,795- £28,402 Per annum
Plus, additional payment for working on the on-call rota
12 month fixed term contract
HMP Kilmarnock is situated approximately three miles south-east of Hurlford in East Ayrshire and housing a range of male prisoner types.
We have an opening for an FM Services Officer to join our team.
They key purpose of this role is to form part of a Works Service Team of multi skilled engineers.
It involves assisting other trades in their duties as may be required forming part of a multi skilled team.
A working knowledge of Plumbing/Electrics would be an advantage in this role however the key priorities for this person will be on painting and decorating.
The successful applicant must ensure that various pre planned maintenance schedules are kept up to date and maintained as may be required.
Other aspects of the role involve related routine maintenance and repairs but within the capabilities of his/her ability, experience, and training.
Furthermore, assisting other members of the maintenance team with their activities as may be required, on other plant and apparatus.

What you need to do the job
This is an opportunity for an individual who is flexible and proactive with a commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement to working approach.
They must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work well individually and as part of a team
It would be advantageous to have experience of working in a secure environment.
Additionally, the successful post holder must be able to pass an enhanced disclosure Scotland check.
