£24,669.75 plus £6200 London allowance

 

Here at Serco, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Administrator to join the Governance & Performance Team within HMP Thameside. Reporting into the Governance & Performance Manager, you will ensure the effective administration of the Governance department, and ensure compliance against all contractual, regulatory and performance requirements & targets.

 

As the new Administrator, you will be expected to maintain all administrative systems within specified timescales for HMP Thameside and support the Governance & Performance team in the delivery of high performance and satisfaction levels, from all internal and external stakeholders. Your role will include providing support for the unit and ensuring compliance against all the relevant procedures, both locally and nationally, covering the Ministry of Justice and Serco requirements for these deliverables. Other duties include:

 

  • Undertaking administrative processes within the Governance department and accurately producing and maintaining records for areas of work, for all internal and external systems, including the HUB and NOMIS.
  • Contributing to successful external visits within the remit of your responsibilities for e.g. Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Prisons (HMIP).
  • Building and maintaining professional working relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to HMPPS, Measuring the Quality of Prison Life (MQPL), and the Independent Monitoring Board (IMB).
  • Taking personal and professional accountability for keeping up to date in area of responsibility and undertaking appropriate training and development.
  • Working in accordance with all statutory, legislative, Company and departmental requirements including but not limited to Health and Safety and Security policies and procedures.

Excellent communication and organisations skills are key, whilst also remaining an approachable, positive and a solutions-led attitude, demonstrating a strong ability to develop and maintain excellent professional relationships.

 

As you will be working in a people-centred environment, you will be committed to working effectively, in a socially diverse environment and a strong team ethic. IT literacy is one of the most important aspects of this role so advanced levels in Outlook, Word & Excel will be required to enable you to complete your role competently. GCSE standard education is desirable in Maths & English.
