Job Title: Head of Culture 

Base location: Home Based with travel when needed

Salary: 36k to 50k


The Customer Insights & Integrated Services (CIIS) Head of Culture & Wellbeing will be key in creating and driving the Wellbeing Pipeline, Communications Pipeline and Social Value Strategy for the Operating Unit, incorporating the UK wide strategy and guidance where appropriate. Whilst Social Value has always been a key part of our business, the momentum has picked up due to an increase in business wins which requires delivery of their own specific strategy and commitments. In addition to this the role will include supporting the business development team in determining our approach for new opportunities.

The role will focus on supporting our Customer Service Contracts. Supporting multiple contracts, with an average of 15 different clients, across multiple sites across the UK including Homeworking. CIIS currently have around 5500 employees however this is looking to grow into 2023.


Key accountabilities

Support and provide guidance to CIIS contracts across all sites.

- To lead and support the delivery of the Social Value Strategy. This will involve driving initiatives and co-ordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure initiatives are delivered successfully. - Lead the Annual Social Value Week, ensuring activities such as volunteer days are co-ordinated and impact recorded. -


- To co-ordinate with the wider Serco teams such as HR to organise staff webinars delivered by our subject matter experts e.g. Diversity & Inclusion. 


- Liaise with external organisations who have existing community programmes to partner with on Serco's Digital Skills Guarantee. The initiative aims to address the digital skills gaps by delivering       weekly sessions in the community hosted by Serco Digital Skills Tutors.


- Ensure our sustainability commitments are delivered by working with the Health, Safety & Environmental Lead and wider Serco Environmental team.


- Create and lead the Social Value Committee. The Committee will consist of multiple stakeholders and drive how our contracts can add more value to the workforce, community and environment.


- To co-ordinate the completion of providers Social Value quarterly surveys and collate the data. The measures included will require amendment throughout the contract as Social Value develops. Building on from this, a quarterly Customer Impact report is required.
