Housing Cleansing Supervisor

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

Salary: £30,000-£32,000 

 

Serco's Environmental Services provide Street and Housing Cleansing Services within Lambeth. With a professional, dedicated and friendly cleansing team, we ensure that streets and homes are kept clean, safe and tidy, whilst providing the very best levels of customer service to all members of the community that we serve. And right now, we have an opportunity for like-minded Supervisor to join our team of essential key workers and help us make a positive difference to the environment we all live and work in. 

 

As the Supervisor, you will induct, manage, motivate, and lead your team, ensure they understand their KPIs and support them in achieving these to meet contractual requirements. Whilst undertaking regular performance management of employees, you will be able to resolve any issues which arise in a timely manner and in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.

This role will see you managing a robust health and safety culture in relation to our people, vehicles, operations and the environment we work within by ensuring that adequate training is provided to all employees.

 

You won't be doing this alone, as part of a supervisory team you will put forward suggestions and ideas to improve our service provision. We are dedicated to the ongoing development and career progression of our employees, with outstanding training opportunities made available to you, along with the chance to undertake additional qualifications.

 

 

What do I need to do the role? 

  

To be considered for a position within our team, you will have strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as be self-motivated with the willingness to undertake further training when required and work well within a team. 

 

This role will require you to drive the company van daily to visit your team and deliver any equipment they may need, therefore a full and clean UK driving licence is required.

 

You should have experience of working in a Team Leader or Supervisor position, ideally leading a blue-collar workforce along with good IT skills especially within Microsoft packages Word and Excel.

 

Previous experience of working within housing or cleansing is not essential as we will provide any additional training you may need.
