About the Role

As a key leadership position within the Serco team, this is a strategic and operational role, responsible for leading and delivering the HR Connect services the WA Health Managers and employees at Fiona Stanley Hospital in accordance with contractual requirements, relevant standards/ legislation and industry best practice. 

As the manager of the HR Connect team, you will empower and support your experienced team of business partners and consultants in providing coaching, advice and guidance on a range of HR/ER and recruitment related services to Health managers and employees. 

 

These services will include but not limited to:

  • Change management
  • Employee engagement
  • Performance management
  • Non-work-related injury management and compliment advice relating to Work Health and Safety and training and development solutions. 
  • Recruitment and selection support

 

About You

You are a passionate leader with demonstrated experience in delivering HR Services.  You have a balanced focus on strategy and operations and can provide clarity and direction for the HR Connect service, aligned to the broader business context and goals.  You will have a solution focussed approach and demonstrated experience in Stakeholder Management and team leadership.  You are a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exceptional values in everything you do.

 

What we're looking for:

  • The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to HR management and/or demonstrated equivalence in a combination of formal education and other experience (desirable)
  • Significant experience in delivering HR management programs with established professional networks in relevant industry sectors.
  • Extensive experience and proficiency in general HR practices including recruitment, performance management, change management and award and policy interpretation.
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills, including the ability to create and sustain effective partnership approaches with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A high work and customer service ethic with excellent relationship building skills.
  • Sound business acumen and a track record of delivering value-add impact in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Strong operational management and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Public Sector Human Resources experience advantageous but not essential
  • High level of communication, research, analytical and consultative skills.
  • Ability to work and influence at a leadership level whilst being able to successfully engage at an operational level.
  • Proven ability to lead a team
