Serco provides essential services across the justice and immigration systems on behalf of governments. Our services include prison management, prisoner escort and youth and migrant detention services, as well as the rehabilitation and reintegration of ex-offenders, and the integration of migrants, into society.
HMP Ashfield is an adult male sex offender prison based in the village of Pucklechurch in South Gloucestershire.
Here at Serco, we are looking for a tutor to join our dedicated College Team, offering advice and guidance across the team function but also covering a variety of classroom, workshops and prisoner work environments. You will need to be passionate about teaching and developing courses, as well as having a real drive to support and address offending behaviours and develop the employability skills of our prisoners.
You must have recent experience, and appropriate knowledge, of teaching and learning and have worked in an environment that demands strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to work to deadlines and remain focused under pressure. You will work as part of a close-knit team but will be a committed self-starter who will be accountable for:
