Here at Serco we're looking for an IAG Coordinator to join us at HMP Ashfield, a Category C, adult male sex offender prison based in the village of Pucklechurch in South Gloucestershire.
The successful post holder for this role will be responsible to the academic course team leader for the provision of initial advice and guidance in HMP Ashfield's Education department. They are also expected to cover a variety of classrooms, vocational workshops and prisoner work environments. The post holder will be given the opportunity to teach and develop courses in their field of expertise, placing an emphasis on supporting the addressing of offending behaviour and developing employability skills.

What you need to do the job:
This is an opportunity for an individual who holds a PTTLS/ AET Qualification and has the disposition to work towards a subject-specific qualification. Additionally, they must have recent experience, and appropriate knowledge, of teaching and learning.
The successful post holder must demonstrate proven experience of working in an environment that demands flexibility and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
It is key that they respond to identified needs by undertaking self-directed learning, research and training as required.
Similarly, they must establish internal/external associations as required and be able to form good working relationships.
Having experience of a custodial environment would be a strong advantage.
