About You

 

You will be an experienced Injury Management Advisor/ Return to Work Coordinator able to provide specialist injury management support for employees work and non-work-related injuries and illnesses. You will be a specialist in providing technical advice, coaching line managers in developing the necessary skills to drive appropriate safety behaviour and utilising external professional networks to optimise results. You're a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exceptional moral values in everything you do.

 

About the Role

 

Based in Belmont WA, this position will allow you to influence processes and provide suitable return to work opportunities for injured employees based at our Immigration Centre. You will partner with the business to achieve safety targets and implement strategies to attain an optimal outcome for the employee and Serco. Stakeholder management is key and good time management will be required to manage a high-level workload.

  

To be successful you will have: 

  • The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
  • High level of Workers Compensation exposure
  • Return to Work Coordinator Accreditation - essential
  • Knowledge of the relevant state workers compensation legislation
  • Experience managing an allocated injury management portfolio
  • Ability to influence, coach and mentor line managers in injury management processes
  • Experience providing accurate and timely advice to injured employees
  • Payment and recoup of wages
  • Case Conferencing and participation in Case Reviews with insurers
  • Strong knowledge of the injury management process and procedures, rights and responsibilities 
  • Tertiary qualification - desirable
