Job title:  Learning & Training Facilitator

Location:  Oldbury

Salary:  £25,000 per annum

Working hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week (will be required to travel to deliver training)

 

Here at Serco, we work with the Home Office in the Asylum Accommodation Services contract to support individuals through the asylum application process. Here at AASC, we will ensure that vulnerable asylum seekers have access to the support they need and set clear requirements on the standard and maintain the condition of our accommodation.

 

The key purpose of this role is to support the AASC contract in the delivery of high-quality Learning and Development initiatives and classroom based sessions in accordance with the Learning & Development Policy and our wider business objectives.

 

You will be required to implement the Learning & Development Policy, to support the business by linking all L&D related activity to business needs and objectives and to establish priorities and plans for its activities around ongoing organisational priorities. This will include working with the wider Business Support team to support personal development across the contract. You will be required to equip staff with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out their work activities effectively.

 

Some of your other key accountabilities will include:

  • Support training and development needs within the AASC contract through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers
  • Support the end-to-end learning and development cycle to include learning needs analysis and evaluation
  • Develop effective induction programmes for new staff, apprentices and graduate trainees
  • Monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers produce training materials for in-house courses
  • Create and/or deliver a range of training using classroom, online and blended learning
  • Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present this research.

 

What you need to do the job

You should have previous experience of designing, developing and delivering learning solutions. You need experience in designing and delivering learning in strict regulatory environments. You should have the ability to work in a small highly motivated team in a collaborative way and to share research, information, skills and insight with colleagues. CIPD Certificate Level 3 in Learning and Development Practice (or is willing to complete), or hold equivalent accreditation is desirable, however experience-based, demonstrable classroom delivery is importanty.
