Learning & Development Manager

A key leadership position within Serco, this role sets an example of collaborative leadership, with a deep understanding of adult learning principles and drives the implementation of the learning strategy for the contract. Through innovation and enhancement of development programs, this role will be responsible for optimising training delivery and processes to ensure the Learning and Development team is successful. In response to a rapidly expanding service model, this role will lead and develop our facilitators to deliver training programs to our team members who support members of the community.

 

 The Opportunity 

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the Learning and Development Manager is responsible for delivery of the mandatory suite of training programs, ensures a positive onboarding experience, and the successful delivery of programs to suit adult learners. The Learning and Development Manager will evolve and identify learning requirements for team members, manage the content and own outcomes in learning and development programs and processes.

Your credibility in stakeholder management will ensure that training materials are delivered successfully while meeting the requirements of the client and other senior stakeholders within the business. You will work shoulder to shoulder with other high-performing leaders to deliver successful programs for the contract. 

A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or similar qualification is required for this role along with experience in a similar role. Your passion for leading and developing people as well as delivery of successful training programs will ensure success and opportunities for career advancement within the vast Serco community.  A variety of overlaying complexities will keep you engaged as you create and inspire a centre of excellence reputation.
