Here at Serco, we are looking for a Learning Programme Manager to join the wider Learning and Development team. The key purpose is to design, maintain and improve the delivery and standards of Learning & Apprenticeship programmes within Serco.

 

As Programme Manager you will be accountable for ensuring leadership and management programmes contribute to, and influence, improved performance in the workplace at an individual, team and organisation level.

 

You will have expertise in leadership and management and link the work you do to the strategic priorities of the business and measure the outcomes and impact of any learning interventions, to demonstrate excellence in learning & apprenticeships provision.

 

 

As part of this you will:

  • Promote, lead and manage the end-to-end process for apprenticeship programmes working collaboratively with divisional and group colleagues, awarding organisations and external stakeholders including our partnership providers.
  • Work with key stakeholders to design, develop and approve appropriate resources and course materials to support learner journeys within curriculum programmes.
  • Support the Excellence Officer with the observations of teaching, learning and assessment (OTLA) strategy and support development plans that secure and sustain improvements through high quality professional development.
  • Support the L&D manager in their work with development coaches, ensuring all have current occupational competency to ensure they meet audit and compliance requirements and demonstrate the expected behaviours of Serco.
  • Seek out opportunities to gain external recognition and/or awards, Serco Group programmes and development initiatives as a part of enhancing our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) ensuring we become a place people are proud to work.

 

 

What you will need to do the role

Essential

  • TAQA / IQA / Awards (or equivalent)
  • Experience in working with accredited qualifications and apprenticeships
  • Experience in supporting, training and development of skills to ensure high quality delivery
  • Management/occupational qualifications (min Level 5)
  • Good knowledge and use of IT and learning technologies

 

Desirable

  • Proven ability to build collaborative internal and external relationships
  • Experience of managing (people or projects) within WBL / education environment
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Ability to reflect on and evaluate own and others' work

 

This role will manage and support activity across the Serco Group; therefore, travel will be required.
