Working Week: 30 hours a week, Rostered in for shifts between Monday to Sunday
Salary: 7,503.60 - 10,684 per annum depending on experience
Apprenticeship Qualification: L2 Leisure Team Member Apprenticeship
Expected Apprenticeship Duration: 18 -24 months
Stechford Leisure Centre is looking for enthusiastic and energetic candidates to work towards their Leisure Team Member Level 2 apprenticeship. We invest in our people and teams and the Leisure Team member is a grass roots position within the business that provides ion the job learning and provides a wide variety of opportunities in the business.
As a Leisure Assistant you'll play an important part of life here at the centre as you ensure that everyone who visits the centre will be safe and have access to everything, they need to enjoy their visit. You will act as Lifeguard, Swimming Teacher, and Health & Fitness Coach amongst other operational duties
Without you there can't be any Leisure Activities. But you won't be working alone. Our leisure centre has a close knit and supportive team, all working towards providing an inclusive leisure hub for the entire community.

About you
You'll need to have excellent customer service skills as you'll be interacting heavily with our customers. So, whether you've earned that experience in a leisure or another customer facing environment, you'll be a people person who is happy dealing with people of all ages and backgrounds. You need to be a team player who is passionate about exercise and fitness.
To be considered for this role, you must be a strong and confident swimmer. If you are invited to interview for this role you will be required to complete a swim test as part of the interview process. To be considered for the role you must be able to demonstrate you are able to do the following. - Jump/dive into deep water - Swim 50 metres in no more than 60 seconds - Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water and then tread water for 30 seconds - Surface dive to floor of pool (deepest part) - Climb out of a swimming pool unaided by ladders/steps and where pool design permits
