Do you dream of building innovative lending products that empower people's ambitions? Are you a data-driven problem-solver with a passion for exceptional customer experiences?

I am working with a leading financial institution in Birmingham who are seeking a Lending Product Manager to join their growing team.

In this pivotal role, you'll be a key player in shaping the future of their lending products. You'll own the product roadmap, working closely with a dedicated team to develop solutions that balance customer needs with sustainable business growth.

Here's what you'll get to do:

  • Craft the vision: Become a subject matter expert, deeply understanding the lending landscape, competitor trends, and emerging opportunities. This knowledge will be instrumental in defining the product strategy and prioritising initiatives.
  • Deliver results: Set clear Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to measure success and track progress. You'll be passionate about metrics and using data to continuously improve the product's performance.
  • Champion collaboration: Build strong relationships across the organization, fostering communication and collaboration between Lending, Distribution, Marketing, Credit Risk, Operations, and other teams.
  • Solve complex problems: Approach challenges from various perspectives (customer, technology, business) and develop effective solutions that drive tangible outcomes.
  • Become a customer champion: Perform user research through interviews and calls to understand customer needs and pain points. Your insights will be invaluable in shaping future iterations of the product.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • Proven experience shipping complex yet customer-centric lending products (ideally in the BTL market)
  • A data-driven mindset with a passion for analysing and interpreting performance metrics
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to build consensus and secure buy-in for your ideas
  • A collaborative and results-oriented spirit with a knack for problem-solving
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment is a plus
