Here at Serco Rail Technical Services, we are looking for a Level 3 NDT Technician to join the team and provide specialist governance to support and enable the technical teams to deliver against, and meet, our contractual arrangements to our customers in delivering a range of NDT services in accordance with the applicable requirements and standards.

 

As Level 3 NDT Technician, you will need to create, develop, and maintain key relationships with all colleagues at Serco Rail Technical Services, our customers and strategic partners who enable the delivery of our key contracts.

 

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Apply appropriate technical governance to all NDT activities within the business.
  • Ensure local operating procedures are fit for purpose, updated, and adhered to.
  • Ensure compliance with standards to enable the training team to operate.
  • Ensure compliance with standards to enable the on-site NDT team to operate.
  • Deliver technical training.
  • Manage the development of key skills, capability and competency related to NDT.
  • Provide NDT specialist support, advice and guidance to the business and customers.
  • Develop relationship between Serco and other collaborative partnerships.

 

 

What you'll need to do the role:

  • PCN Level 3 in Ultrasonic Testing.
  • Proven experience as an NDT practitioner.
  • Experience within the rail industry.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
