Life Skills Mentors

Do you want to empower our students? Can you assist young adults in developing their independence and work related skills?  We are seeking to recruit two enthusiastic, highly motivated, forward thinking individuals as Life Skills Mentors.  Based at our Aylesbury campus, but will travel across all campuses. This role is Term Time Only and is for 7 hours per week.

The successful candidate will

  • To empower young people to learn within a local community   through supporting the delivery of a personalised learning programme.
  • To assist young people to develop their independence and work-related skills
  • To run lunchtime and after college clubs for young people
  • To act as Life Skills Mentor for identified students, including liaising with parents, guardians and external support services where appropriate and coordinating targets and reviews for students with assessment or EHC plan.
  • Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes by supporting the young person with their community targets.
