Logistics Resource Planner | Lambeth

Location: Shakespeare Road, SE24 0PZ

Working hours: Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm 

Salary: £33,000-  £38,000

 

Serco's Environmental Services provide a complete waste, recycling, and street cleansing service on behalf of the residents and community of Lambeth. With a professional, dedicated, and friendly team, our environmental staff ensure that our streets, homes, and businesses are kept clean, safe and tidy, whilst providing the very best levels of customer service to the community that we serve. 

 

Right now, we have an opportunity for a like-minded Logistics Resource Planner to join our team of essential workers and help us to make a positive difference to the environment we all live in. 

 

This role will see you organise the daily management of operational requests using the Management information system Whitespace, monitoring response times and whilst communicating with operational teams to support in the optimal deployment of resources to reduce and resolve service failures.

 

You will be responsible for analysing management data, responding to customer and client queries to support operational departments with any possible service issues. Whilst reporting to the Contract Manager you will maintain contact with crews throughout the day, identifying issues as and when they arise, ensuring that appropriate action is taken by responding positively to them in a dynamic and pro-active manner.

What you'll need to do the role

 

First and foremost, you will be someone who is proactive and can hit the ground running due to your background within the waste industry.

 

You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft packages and data management systems such as whitespace to support you with analysing data to identify risks and trends when resource planning.

 

You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to proactively and positively impact our front-line teams whilst being able to work collaboratively with senior management.
