M&E Surveyor

M&E Surveyor

Location: Homebased with countrywide travel

Permanent/ Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Out of hours occasionally required (Overtime will be available)

Salary: Up to £45,000

Key Purpose:

Sitting within VIVO Defence Asset Management Team is the building and assets surveying team which provide VIVO Defence Services with UK/contract wide support in the evaluation of fabric, building and M&E services assets, across various built and infrastructure asset types. The data capture and collection is based on a standardised and methodical approach using a mobile applications on handheld devices.

Key Accountabilities:

• Carry out building services feasibility assessments and complete reports
• Report writing and data management
• Use of digital data collection technology
• Project manage various M&E biased minor works projects
• Forecast spending requirements based on whole life cycle costing techniques, ensuring budgets can be managed and energy efficient systems are recommended and implemented.
• Make recommendations on the appropriate replacement of life expired systems and equipment ahead of failure.
• Liaise closely with other professionals, including but not limited to Built Estate Managers, Services Managers, Asset Managers, In-house design team members and Project Managers.
• Attend a range of project and asset management technical meetings
• Ensure building systems meet legislative and health and safety requirements
• Advise our client on energy use and conservation in a range of buildings across various sites.
• Other asset management supporting activities as required.

Experience:

• A demonstrated technical understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering is necessary; however, no specific qualification is required.
• Experience of using an asset collection tool
• Good written communication skills including report writing.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI.
• Proven financial awareness
• An eye for detail

Essential Skills:

• Commercial, Housing and Infrastructure.
• Compliance and HSE Experience.
• Management of a mobile workforce.
• Confident using Microsoft Offices packages.
