Working on a 4 on, 4 off Days Only Shift Pattern, you will form part of a strong and very highly skilled Maintenance Team with the responsibility to maintain the site and all manufacturing equipment so that the efficient production continues 24/7.
You role will be Software and PLC focused, delivering upgrades to machinery and being heavily involved within new installation work too. This role is very much a combination of Process Improvement and Maintenance.
You will help perform Planned and Preventative Maintenance across a range of different machinery, which can be classed as heavy and very automated.
For the most part when covering the Maintenance Team, you will be dealing with electrical faults although it's necessary to be able to tackle mechanical faults too.
You will also work collaboratively as part of a team to address machine issues and look for areas that can be improved, which means you may also be involved with project work including: Decommissioning machinery, design of new machinery, installation and commissioning work too.
Whilst present on site and especially when undertaking any maintenance duties, you will be expected to adhere and promote the company's Health and Safety guidelines at all times.
This role will suite someone who is from a manufacturing background.
You also need to be electrically qualified.
Your experience should consist of both electrical and mechanical maintenance, however if the mechanical side is lacking, this can be trained and developed.
It would be highly desirable if you have PLC knowledge, knowing how to use a laptop, locate the PLC and navigate through the logic. If you have good computer skills and are a fast learner, this can be trained and developed too.
The Site Manager has said that this is the best Maintenance Team he's worked with and therefore you will be surrounded by skilled Engineers who you can learn from, or bounce ideas off. You will have good support but it's essential you have the right attitude to succeed in this environment.
Because this is a building product manufacturing business, you will need to be open to working both indoor and outdoor in varying weather conditions on large manufacturing machinery.
