Management Accountant
Remote with travel to contracts

Up to £50,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
Here at Serco, we are seeking a Management Accountant who will be responsible for managing our Prison and Immigration centre trust accounts, ensuring prisoner's and detainee's personal monies are controlled, managed, and accurately accounted for. As well as full financial responsibility for the trust's, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders to implement improvements to current processes and controls. You will be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial and management information across the 7 trust accounts that Serco manages across its UK sites.
Initially, as this is an area with the potential for lots of added value, you will need to quickly understand the as-is trust models. This will involve multiple stakeholder engagement to map the current process, document roles and responsibilities and assess the current control environments.
Once the existing landscape is fully understood you will lead the implementation of key improvements including but not limited to increased automation, process standardisation, better defined and understood roles and responsibilities and implementation of a more robust control environment.
