The Crown Estate have an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the the smooth running of the Transport Workshop within Windsor Great Park.
Skills and experience required
City and Guilds or equivalent qualification
At least 3 years relevant practical, post training, experience in the mechanical maintenance sector
Full valid driving license
Excellent analytical and fault finding skills
Good knowledge of mechanical equipment from small handheld tools to large mechanical equipment
Ability to work on own initiative
Ability to develop sound cost effective solutions to problems
Ability to establish relationships with colleagues, contractors and service suppliers
To be goal orientated and meet deadlines
Essential functions of the job:
To ensure that all types of machinery and equipment, stationary and mobile, is serviced, diagnosed and repaired regularly and is kept in good working order.
To deploy a wide range of mechanical skills, for example welding, fault repair, wiring etc.
To ensure cost effective management of mechanical and fleet assets across the Estate ensuring assets are maintained in line with statutory requirements.
Servicing, diagnosis and repairs of agricultural and horticultural machinery
Electrical adjustments to machines and vehicles
Direct liaison with suppliers for information and parts supply
Ensure necessary materials, equipment & tools are organised available and appropriate
That the overall work requirements are properly balanced, taking account of conflicting work priorities
