8-week cycle working a mixture of days and nights (07:00 - 19:00 and 19:00 to 07:00)
Salary: £35,000 Shift Allowance Inclusive.
Here at Serco, we're looking for a Mechanical Craftsperson to join us at the James Cook University Hospital, offering a unique opportunity to work in a diverse engineering environment providing a wide scope for development of skills and knowledge as well as making a positive difference in supporting the NHS and community we support.
Reporting into the Engineering Team Lead you will be part of the engineering team providing planned preventative and reactive maintenance services across the James Cook University Hospital site as part of Serco's Hard FM estates service to the NHS.
The post holder will ensure that the hospitals' building, fabric, plant, services, and equipment are maintained to a high standard and ensure their continued safety, efficiency and reliability.

What you'll need to do the role
To be considered for this role you will need to have completed a recognised appropriate Engineering Apprenticeship or other relevant structured Training Program, appropriate City & Guilds and/or BTEC certification. You will need proven experience of working in a similar environment and sound knowledge and understanding of Mechanical Building Services. You will to need demonstrate a professional approach, strong awareness to health and safety, good communication and customer service skills and be able to work well in high pressure situations.
