Mechanical Fitter

Mechanical Fitter required for our client in Chandlers Ford near Eastleigh

You must be able to demonstrate the ability to read and understand technical drawings in order to assemble build packs and machines to a specified requirement and Assemble both large- and small-scale machines.

As a professional and experienced Mechanical Fitter you should be able to use and demonstrate a variety of mechanical skills and knowledge to efficiently build complex assemblies

You will work well as an individual within a team, communicating assembly issues to line manager using correct engineering terminology and adhering Strictly to all health and safety policies and procedures, including the use of the appropriate protective clothing.

• Must have either a level 3 City and Guilds qualification/Level 3 BTEC in engineering and experience in an engineering environment. (HNC is preferred but not required).
• Preferred experience in manual machining on both Lathes and Mills.
• Preferred experience in the operation of industrial equipment such as an Overhead Gantry (Including training in stropping and complex lifts) and Mobile lifting platform such as, MEWP/Star10.
