Metal Finishing Manufacturing Technician

Job Summary

Reporting to Team Leaders and Manufacturing Team Manager the role is primarily for the automated plating line but may become multi functional to carry out for all forms of plating, preparing and masking of parts within the Manufacturing Finishing Department (MFD).

This role will be for the core shift (07:00-15:45)

• Produce work within cost.

• Initiate cost saving and new ideas.
• To be co-operative and flexible.
• Must adhere to all EHS, Quality and training requirements.
• To work within a team.
• To interpret engineering drawings and applicable aerospace plating specifications.

Required Candidate Experience

• Must have previous experience in Metal Finish / Heat Treatment, i.e. electro-plating, alocroming, anodising, etc.
• Experience with chemical storage, safety and use.
• Problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Computer literate in MS office.

This contract is paying a PAYE hourly rate of £16.28 rising to £16.77 after 3-months. Overtime on Mon-Sat paid at x1.5 and double time on a Sunday.

On top of the PAYE rates the candidate will be entitled to 25-days paid holiday a year (plus bank holidays) and statutory pension.
