Mobile Electrician/Engineer - Cardiff

Mobile Electrician / Maintenance Engineer - Cardiff - £35,000 per year + Company Vehicle

We are currently looking for an electrician / maintenance engineer to work on a mobile basis in the Cardiff area. Our client are recruiting for a position covering 5 different buildings around the area. Duties will include but not be restricted to :-

• Undertaking adaption/repair and reactive, planned, and preventative maintenance work, including systems checks and when necessary problem diagnostics, on electrical services and equipment
• carrying out specialist technical detailed periodic electrical testing on fire alarm, emergency lighting installations and any other low voltage wiring systems
• undertaking systems fault finding and provide clear written remedial reports on installations including fire alarm equipment, emergency lighting, building management system wiring, boiler controls, motors and motor controls, variable speed devices, ventilation system wiring, and any other low or extra low voltage equipment.
• tracing faults on the controls system and associated equipment and work with mechanical engineers and BeMS technicians to rectify faults
• Ensuring all statutory, planned and breakdown works are completed safely, cost effectively and to the agreed KPI's and Service Level Agreement

The right candidate for this role will display the following experience/qualifications :-

• Hold a recognised apprenticeship in electrical services, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification. 18th Edition IET Wiring regulations
• Demonstrate experience of working within a reactive maintenance environment with substantial, relevant post apprentice experience
• Ability to work well as part of a team and independently to achieve overall team goals and the ability to prioritise tasks
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate appropriately with customers and other departments
• A valid driving license is necessary as it is a condition of employment that all personnel are able to utilise the fleet company vehicle to reach all sites.
• Good working knowledge and experience in various types of fire alarm & detection systems
• Experience in Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) systems and controls

This is a permanent role, with a starting salary of £35,000 plus company vehicle. The usual hours of work will be 8am-4.30pm on site.
