Multi Skilled Operative

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 p.a

We have an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our project team at VIVO based in Credenhill Hereford. 

The Multi Skilled Operative will be responsible for providing support to the site or sites where they are based in order to deliver a number of activities that support the VIVO commitment to provide a Direct delivery resource across the contract.

Key Accountabilities:

• Work with minimal supervision and have the ability to make decisions on the most appropriate repair solution.  
• To undertake a continual programme of risk assessment in relation to your role
• Provide exceptional service to our high-profile client and go the extra mile to deliver to the highest quality standard in all building areas
• Attend training as and when required to continue your development in the role and comply with changes within the industry.
• Attend team briefs, Toolbox talks and technical bulletins on a monthly basis or as when required.
• To demonstrate VIVO core values to internal and external customers and colleagues
• To mentor apprentices as and when required
• Liaise with the End user (Military), DIO and members of VIVO supply chain when required.
• Ensure all H&S documentation (RAMS) are present prior to engaging the task

The principal activities to be delivered will be discussed with the appropriate BE Manager but would include the following and where training is required to carry out these tasks this will be delivered on site:

• Weekly flushing of little used outlets.
• Weekly fire alarm testing.
• Visual condition checks on the following but not limited to:
  •      Filing Cabinets
  •      Shelving
  •      Tumble Driers
• General handyman tasks in relation to low value works.

Skills You'll Need:

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Must be punctual and reliable
• Previous experience of a handyman/semi-skilled role.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions  
• Ability to work in all weathers
• Ability to use hand tools

Please note, in order to be considered for this position, you must be able to pass BPSS security clearance.
