Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Aldershot area, GU11 2HL
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00-4:30PM. On call rota 1 week in 7 (with opportunities for weekend overtime)
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience. On call standby fee £150, call out £25
Here at VIVO we are recruiting a Handyperson with previous experience as a plumber to undertake responsive repairs in our Aldershot area.
Within Aldershot's MoD family housing on the Accommodation contract, you will be assigned jobs and have your diary scheduled for you on a PDA. You will be responsible for the completion of those jobs to a high quality in the set time scales, along with logging any jobs by taking photos and recording notes. Work tasks you may be assigned include; fixing leaking taps, installing and removing baths and kitchen units along with undertaking groundworks, fencing or door repairs or any other handyperson tasks.
Although based in a team of 18, you will predominantly be lone working so it is important that you are self-motivated and independent but can work in a team when necessary.
What you'll need to do the role
First and foremost, this role will require you to drive between multiple locations in your company van therefor it is essential you hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
It is essential that you have previous experience in a handyperson role that includes domestic plumbing works. It is also essential that you have good communication skills as this will be a customer facing role.
It is desirable that you have qualifications to accompany experience but is not essential. It is also desirable that you have experience in social housing or reactive repairs.
Finally due to site restrictions this role will require you to pass SC clearance.
