Contract: Full Time, Permanent 
Location: Porton Down, Salisbury, SP4 0JQ with occasional travel to Portsdown West, PO17 6AD

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (potential for on call)
Salary: Up to £35,000 dependent on experience

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Multi Trade Operative to join our team at Porton Down. As part of our front-line delivery to the MOD, you'll play a crucial role in providing high-quality reactive repairs and maintenance services. You will be assigned a scheduler who will allocate you responsive repair tasks throughout the day, to complete either individually or as part of the Central Maintenance Team.
 

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Conduct repairs across various building services, including minor plumbing, building work, grounds maintenance, and drainage-related tasks.
• Participate in refurbishment projects and handle planned and reactive maintenance.
• Make informed decisions on repair solutions, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Self-snag works upon completion of projects.
• Collaborate with customers and supply chain members.
• Manage van stocks and contribute to right-first-time fixes.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:
 

Full UK Driving Licence
Previous experience as a multi-trade worker or on a construction site
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Proficiency in using hand tools
Willingness to work in all weather conditions

You must be a British National to be eligible for this role. 

You must be able to pass SC Clearance to be eligible for this role.
