HMP Doncaster is based in South Yorkshire and a category B prison.
 
We have an opportunity for an Offender Behaviour Programme Facilitator to join our fantastic team. The primary role of an Offender Behaviour Programme Facilitator will be to successfully deliver accredited and non-accredited offending behaviour programmes to identified offenders in line with relevant standards and guidelines to ensure treatment integrity is maintained.


To develop understanding of and skills within the 5 key competencies that underpin the core competency framework of accredited programmes:
 
- Treatment Integrity
- Treatment Style
- Facilitation Skills
- Planning and Reviewing
- Openness to learning
 
They will take an active role in the promotion of offending behaviour programmes within HMP Doncaster and deliver appropriate training to staff to raise awareness.


This is a role that contributes enormously to the important work of reintegrating offenders back into society.

 

 

What you'll need to do the role:
 
The ideal candidate would have experience of working with prisoners either in the secure setting or in the community. It would be desirable to have experience of delivering group-based interventions that support addressing offending behaviour.
It is important that the successful candidate for the role takes responsibility for their own learning and personal development.
Is open to feedback to enhance skills to engage prisoners.
Possesses skills that are supportive of promoting rehabilitation, and models attitudes that support the ethos of a rehabilitative culture.
Works collaboratively with colleagues and prisoners.
Possesses a good level of communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
The suitable candidate must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the rationale behind offending behaviour programmes and motivational skills that can support engagement.
Demonstrates an understanding of prisoner's individual needs.
To be up to date with current legislation and policies relating to the role and establishment
