Onboarding Coordinator - AASC

Birchwood | Admin/Secretarial/HR

Salary: £23,000

Working hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, in office with potential to go hybrid post probation period.

 

 

On behalf of the Home Office, Serco manages the Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC) for the Midlands and East of England. We focus on assisting individuals through the asylum system, ensuring that vulnerable asylum seekers have access to the support they need along with a high standard of accommodation. 

 

We are looking for an Onboarding Coordinator to join our team in the Service Delivery Centre, as our Onboarding Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that every new starter has a seamless and positive experience while also acting as a liaison for internal stakeholders by building and managing relationships and their expectations.

 

This is a dynamic role and is situated within the Business Support team so you'll have the opportunity to get involved in multiple parts of the business, with this exposure, there may be an expectation to support other teams when necessary and may involve occasional travel.

 

This is a role for proactive individual with strong attention to detail and a customer-centric mindset, you must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and have adaptability in a fast paced, ever evolving work environment.

 

 

Your accountabilities will include but are not limited to:

 

 

  • Be the central point of contact for the AASC contract hiring managers and all relevant and related teams both internally and externally.
  • Working closely with the new staff member, the hiring manager, HR, IT, equipment, fleet, payroll and any other relevant teams or divisions to enable all required information and procedures to be completed efficiently and where possible before start date.
  • Daily monitoring and management of relevant mailbox, processing requests as required to a high standard, providing excellent outcomes for our internal and external customers.
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date reporting of new starter / leavers and role change activity
  • Maintain up to date understanding of all related processes and packages. Support with process improvement where appliable

  • You possess the ability to successfully engage and influence
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft products
  • You have excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a variety of tasks, and prioritise own workload to meet specific timescales
  • You're an effective communication - both verbal and written
  • You can lead people in the right direction and motivate others to support own activity delivery
  • You will be resourceful, adaptable, and good decision maker
