Serco have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join our team based at the Defence Academy in Shrivenham. The role of the Onboarding Lead Administrator is to manage the ordering and distribution of Serco uniform to all staff, update and maintain organisational charts, coordinate induction days and induction packs across site at the Defence Academy for Serco staff. The role is varied and covers multiple aspects across the site and will be required to build and maintain sound working relationships with several departments.

 

Serco at the Defence Academy provides Facilities Management across all aspects of the site including Estates, Logistics, various Supporting Services, together with Cleaning, Catering and Waste Management through ESS.

  

Duties for the role:

  • Provide induction support for new starters, maintaining organisational information and managing company organisational information and managing Serco uniform activity.
  • Managing uniform try on's for new starters, renewals, ordering and supplier reviews. Maintaining overall control of individual clothing records and budgets.
  • Monthly uniform stock takes in conjunction with the Purchasing Team.
  • Produce and distribute welcome/induction packs for new starters.
  • Update the Serco Organisation Chart & Support Services specific charts.
  • Coordinate welcome/induction days for new starters.
  • Production, amendment and maintenance of assigned spreadsheets and databases.

 

What you need to do the job:

  • GCSE's (A-C) or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Previous administration experience is preferable.
  • Ability to work well independently but also as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to use a variety of communication methods (spoken, written, behaviour).
  • Must be methodical, have proven organisational skills and able to work under pressure.
  • Problem solving skills are a must in this role.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • It is essential that the successful candidate is PC literate, with a good level of experience in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel. 
  • You will have to gain enhanced clearance within the first 3 months of employment.  Serco will arrange this on your behalf.
