Job title: Operational Support Officer
Location: HMP Doncaster, Doncaster
Salary: £20,827.8 per annum per annum, plus Serco benefits
Working hours: Part-Time, 40 hours per week
Here at Serco, we are looking for a Operational Support Officer to join us at HMP Doncaster, a category B local resettlement prison situated in South Yorkshire and housing 1145 men
As the Operational Support Officer you will be required to perform a variety of tasks within the prison shop department to enable us to offer a full and comprehensive canteen facility to all prisoners on a rota basis. You will be also required to liaise with prisoners, wing staff and managers in delivering this service.
Your key accountabilities will include:
-Supervising prisoner work parties
-Searching prisoners in and out of the prison shop
-Operation of appropriate software/manual records in order to service prisoners shop requirements
-To update and maintain an adequate stock level to ensure continuity of service for our delivery schedule to all prisoners
-To receive stock and check off against delivery note. Operate a comprehensive stock rotation system
-Inputting data and information on the CMS/Nomis system
-Completing all passports and training records
-Incident report writing
-Maintenance of cleanliness and hygiene standards in designated work areas

IT skills and ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills at all levels.
