HR/People Solutions Partner  
Full Time, Fixed Term contract until September 2023, approx. 
Competitive Salary (dependent on experience)

Working within the People Solutions HR function, you will be responsible for partnering with the business to deliver key people related projects, with a large focus on TUPE transfers. This is a fantastic opportunity to operate as an 'internal consultant' - utilising your HR generalist expertise and applying it across a suite of projects and solutions to help improve our business and subsequently enable Serco to better serve our customers. You will have access to our most senior leaders - coaching and guiding them on how to align our values with the desired outcomes and ensuring they are consistent with our established Serco operating procedures.


As part of this you'll:


  • Manage and influence complex business change programmes including TUPE transfers, restructuring, location changes and headcount reductions
  • Support people projects and solutions for our UK & Europe business
  • Deliver HR expertise in support of bids, mobilisation of contracts, organisation design and change management
  • Support the implementation of workforce management solutions
  • Provide expertise and interventions in support of talent projects such as workforce and role design, training needs analysis or skills profiling
  • Evaluate HR processes and their effectiveness, including assurance checks against the people elements of the Serco Management System and makes recommendations for improvements
  • Develop detailed implementation roadmaps, risk mitigation and governance
  • Advocate and champion the HR service delivery model


What you'll need to do the role: 


  • Chartered' member status CIPD is essential 
  • Knowledge of TUPE is essential 
  • CIPD Level 7 in HRM or equivalent qualification is desirable 
  • Experience as a generalist HR professional with strengths in project delivery, change management, organisation design and culture change 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to confidently challenge people at all levels both internally and externally
  • Highly organised and capable of working across multiple workstreams and projects at the same time
  • Significant experience of working in unionised businesses and the delivery of change in those environments
  • Ability to travel to attend meetings in Birmingham, Hook, London and other Serco sites
