Yarl's Wood IRC is a fully contained residential centre housing adult women and men awaiting immigration clearance.
We focus on decency and respect in all aspects of care for our residents and use continuous innovation to further improve and develop our service.
The centre is located on the outskirts of Clapham, Bedfordshire. Purpose built as an Immigration Reception Centre' in 2001.
We have a vacancy for a Plumber to join our facilities management team.
The role of the Plumber will be to carry out routine general plumbing and fitting work, preventative maintenance, and repairs.

What you need to do the job
To be considered for the successful postholder must hold a valid Plumbing Qualification (C&G, NVQ). They must be able to work independently when required and complete tasks in a timely manner and to the expected standard. Additionally, they must be able to form and be part of a multi trade support team where other members of the FM service team must complete work. The successful job holder must have great written and verbal communication skills and have a good level of IT skills. They must also have a flexible approach to working as they will be a member of the Facilities "Out of hours" call out roster.
