You will be responsible for defining and delivering activities and documentation in accordance with the requirements, legislation and processes.
Provide advice and guidance with respect to the design in relation to the mechanical lifting systems in the context of site facilities, including the application of design standards.
Responsible for reviewing proposals to ensure that the equipment/facilities are designed, constructed, commissioned, operated and maintained in accordance with the appropriate processes and standards.
Responsible for the production of engineering documentation, ensuring that it is appropriately classified, is authorised through due process and maintained under configuration control.
Point of contact as SME for issues regarding standards for site mechanical lifting systems (e.g. cranes).
Ability to chair and lead improvements (policy, equipment, capabilities) with site LOLER risk cell set up to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Individual Skills and Qualifications
A degree in mechanical engineering.
Experience in a cranes standards, other lifting equipment and LOLER.
Registered with an Engineering professional institute and have the ability to achieve chartered status.
Experience within a Nuclear Environment to relevant ONR License Conditions or similar highly regulated business would be desirable.
You must be resilient and be able to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Good communication and influencing skills are desirable for this role.
