Production Operative
Location: Burton-on-Trent
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Contract: Temporary Ongoing with Permanent Opportunities
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Standard shift: 6:00am - 2:00pm
- Flexibility is essential, as shifts can be extended to 4:00pm - 6:00pm, with some days requiring up to 12-hour shifts during busy periods.
The Opportunity
Blue Arrow is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer in Burton-on-Trent for a hardworking and reliable Production Operative.
This is a physically demanding role working with animal feed products in both indoor production areas and outdoor yard environments. We're looking for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, can work efficiently in a fast-paced setting, and are committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
- Producing and processing animal feed products in line with company procedures.
- Loading, unloading, and moving raw materials and finished products.
- Operating production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Bagging, stacking, and palletising products ready for dispatch.
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet required standards.
- Assisting with stock movement and storage within the production and yard areas.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Following all health and safety procedures and wearing PPE as required.
- Supporting colleagues and assisting with general operational duties as needed.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial environment.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out heavy manual work throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working both inside and outside as part of daily duties.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to health and safety.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including extended shifts when required.
Desirable
- Experience within the feed, agricultural, manufacturing, or food production sectors.
- Previous experience operating production machinery.
- FLT licence (advantageous but not essential).
