Job Summary

Digital Design, Manufacturing and Services (DDMS) in Airbus Defence and Space. The department is leading the deployment of digital processes, methods and tools that have superior business value for the Program Lines and will enhance end to end operations. The department is a Program/Project management organization that operates with the support of the functions (Engineering, Operations, Services, others). While reporting to the DDMS@SpaceSystem project leader, you will be responsible for DDMS deployment towards UK Space projects and the overall coordination and management of requests / communication between Project Stakeholders (Process, Methods and Tools Leads, Engineering and Operations Center of Competences and DDMS Stakeholders

As part of the transformation the new operating model is oriented around multi-functional, agile teams working with the business and developing our digital capabilities.

Job Profile

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Value creation by ensuring a balanced orchestration between UK Space Project needs and DDMS deliverables
  • Support the projects during the definition (e.g. proposal phase), setup and operation of the DDMS E2E solution
  • Interface and deliver the DDMS solution to the UK Space projects, including National projects.

Task & accountabilities :

  • Overarching alignment, orchestration and transversal management of UK Space project needs
  • Work as part of a transitional deployment team to support & drive deployment of DDMS in the UK
  • Follow up and ensure timely delivery and deployment to UK Space projects
  • Co-ordinating with UK Space project security and IM security on data management topics
  • Monitor and Follow up UK Space project specific risks
  • Work with all local stakeholders to support where required/co-ordinate the support they need
  • Enhance the knowledge & buy-in of local teams of DDMS.

Skills/Experience Required

Essential -

  • Strong record (5+ years) of programme and project management
  • Proven leadership experience (5+ years) in international / multicultural teams
  • Proven experience in communication and interaction/influencing with stakeholders
  • Experience in key domains, such as engineering, manufacturing, service, supply management

Desirable -

  • Degree in Engineering / Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
  • Ideally experience of application / tool development and deployment projects
  • Implementation of Visual Management Agile working method
  • Innovation and results oriented mind-set
