You will lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams across a range of innovative programmes within an industry leading smart metering portfolio, delivering ground-breaking and efficient solutions whilst being the main point of contact for internal senior stakeholders.

This role allows an experienced Programme manager to lead projects as part of a complex organisation, playing a pivotal role in relation to the expansion of the world's largest smart water metering Portfolio.
What will this role involve?
As an experienced programme manager you will be expected to: Apply commercial acumen in managing contractors and suppliers to deliver best value solutions to agreed programmes across our entire smart metering estate. Lead and motivate high performing project teams across these areas. Act as the main and central point of contact for our smart meter revenue work streams. Deputise for the Head of Customer Programmes as necessary. Drive constantly improving health, safety and environmental performance. Initiate and develop communication and strong working relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external to the business.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with extensive project and programme management experience, ideally within the water or utilities industry.
You will be comfortable adapting your communication style to field staff as well as more corporate senior stakeholders, and you will display demonstrable experience of this.
This is a challenging and exciting role and we are looking for a Programme Manager with a track record for project and programme delivery, being responsible for governance compliance as well as engaging with the teams to drive programmes and projects forwards.
The ability to gain credibility quickly is essential and if you are a chartered engineer or possess a Prince 2, MSP, APM qualification or similar, this would be hugely advantageous.
You will have broad knowledge and experience in making complex investment decisions and be fully competent at using appropriate company IT systems and office software.
Previous experience of managing delivery partners across a large geographical region is also beneficial and you must be able to present on deliverables and progress to senior stakeholders in an articulate manner.
Thames Water information and salary details
This role is based at Bulman Court near Langley, Berkshire. We are offering a salary of between £50,000 and £65,000, dependant on skills and experience, as well as a competitive bonus package, car allowance, private healthcare and an industry leading pension scheme.
