Programme and Projects Portfolio Manager - London Cycle Hire

Location: London, N1 9PT

Salary: £55,000-£65,000

Permanent, 40 hours per week

 

 

Established in 2010, Santander Cycles (London Cycle Hire) is the flagship depot in Serco's Micromobility sector, with 12,300 bikes and 500 ebikes available to rent across 800 stations and 21,000 docking points around London. We are dedicated to supporting the Mayor of London's active travel objectives to increase walking and cycling by providing residents and visitors with the means for sustainable, green travel options.

 

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme and Projects Portfolio Manager to join our succesful and friendly team.

 

Reporting to the Contract Manager, this role will see you support operational delivery and new initiatives with activities including:

  • Programme and change management.
  • Planning.
  • Stakeholder engagement.
  • Governance.
  • Supplier management.
  • Continuous improvement.

 

You will be the primary senior contact to TfL, establishing effective program and project controls such as configuration, risk, dependency and financial management, and be accountable for the full life cycle of change. This will include ensuring vlaue propositions are established, feasibility studies and business cases are in place, alongside relevant industry change management controls.

 

You will also lead and coordinate junior project managers to bring together the pricing of solutions, portfolio management of internal and external projects, supporting the development of London Cycle Hire business plans and key annual programmes, maintaining a change pipeline and change delivery ropadmap with at least a 12 month horizon.

 

The role will see you manage to portfolio's budget, proactively grow the project churn business, chair the Change Delivery and Change Approval Boards internally, and ensure that all deliverables and products to the customer meet agreed requirements.

 

     

    About You

     

    First and foremost, you will be an experienced Project Manager with the ability to manage programs, projects and key transformation initiatives and be educated to degree level or equivalent.

     

    Strong communication, planning and organisational skills are essential, as well as experience of working with Transport authorities and/or Local Government clients.

     

    It would be beneficial if you have a passion for active/sustainable travel.
