Project Engineer Lead

We are looking for an experienced engineer to provide leadership to projects within this portfolio.

The successful candidate will have a systems thinking mind-set, coupled with extensive knowledge of complex product development.

You will be responsible for driving and co-ordinating a multi-disciplined (Electronic, Software, Firmware, Mechanical, Systems) engineering delivery team on one or more of our product development projects. The ideal candidate will be someone with a strong background in one of the engineering disciplines listed above, who also possesses strong communication, organisation and presentation skills to drive delivery. For those customer engineering projects, this role requires close co-operation with the Project or Program Manager.

You will be responsible along with the project manager and engineering team to develop engineering solutions; from defining concepts & planning the scope of work, to leading and coordinating the activities to ensure the project is delivered to cost, schedule and quality expectations.

The role demands sufficient breadth of technical leadership, to ensure data driven decisions can be taken to provide decisive direction to the engineering team with the support of Subject Matter Experts and the Product Design Authority. You will ensure processes are followed throughout the engineering development process.

• Develop innovative design concepts for complex aerospace challenges
• Manage customer defined and derived requirements including verification strategies
• Planning and estimation of projects
