Pump Engineer (Vacuum)

We are looking for an Amazing Engineer in Bolton!

If you are an Engineer, then we have a role just for you. Working with like-minded engineers based at our centre of excellence in Bolton. You will be reporting to the Engineering Support Manager.

You will handle all of the quoting, bid clarification, order intake, production, testing, expediting, delivery, and invoicing, of Enginering product.

You will manage the spare parts and they must be correctly identified to ensure correct supply.
You will be responsible for accurate costing of non-standard product and parts and for delivery according to budget and schedule.

You will create a Bill of Materials and organise drawings from data sheets produced by the technical department for all product engineered in the UK. Ensure compliance with all customer specifications. Together with the material controller and CAD designer ensure that any new drawings required are produced to reflect the unique technical requirements of the project.

You will advise the Bolton UK build/test workshop during the manufacturing, assembly and test processes associated with the production of product, assessing and signing any concessions, and ensuring that an good working relationship is maintained with the workshop.
You will ensure that deliveries are made on time by expediting the work as it progresses and re-prioritising if necessary.

You will create build procedures for product. Advise the technical and service departments on issues and repairs.
You will make supplier visits to assist with issues and monitor stock. Technical support for customers, service, and other production sites, with occasional site visits (global).

Experience

• Some fitting experience with experience working with assembling/dismantling rotating equipment - essential
• Experience quoting customer spares and new built items - essential
• Knowledge of/working with the different types of Sealing systems
• Familiarity with ATEX
• Familiarity of the SAP programme

Experience of Vacuum pumps is an advantage

Education Level:

HND level in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent overseas qualification or a qualified time served and experienced fitter - essential

Knowledge of MS office products

Ability to Mentor and inspire others
