The QEC WTA Marine Systems Principal Mechanical Engineer:
The QEC Warship Technical Authority (WTA) combined with the DE&S QEC Warship Approving Authority form the QEC Design Authority. This role provides governance and oversight of Engineering decisions that affect QEC Marine Systems
Working on the largest warship ever in service with the RN, and the Nation's flagship, this will be a challenging and rewarding career with lot of potential for development and progression.
This team has a strong track record of professional development with support in achieving CEng accreditation. You will be exposed to various opportunities to gain experience in working across different divisions and roles elsewhere in the wider warship support function.
The QEC WTA - Principal Mechanical Engineer will contribute specialist knowledge in mechanical engineering. You will undertake a wide range of engineering activities, supplying advice and support to the QEC WTA, QEC Engineering team and other functions, organising and co-ordinating aspects of engineering activity in order to meet the demanding programme of the Royal Navy and MOD customers whilst continually maintaining quality and service requirements. You will be responsible for providing systems engineering capability across a broad set of challenges to meet the needs of QEC COM and customer programmes.
