Quantity Surveyor

I am currently working with a main contractor who are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor on long term freelance basis. The initial project will be working on a high rise residential development. My client is looking for someone who has experience working on large high value projects. You will be reporting to the Commercial Director, managing the complete payment processes, contractual obligations and procurement.

This is a long term position with the opportunity to work on future projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage the payment process for sub-contractors
• Sub-contractor procurement
• Manage site start budgets
• Attend management and site meetings which will vary in location
• Host regular sub-contractor performance review meetings
• Approve labour & other sub-contractor payments

The Ideal Candidate

• In-depth knowledge of the construction industry
• Strong experience in quantity surveying
• Good knowledge of commercial and financial management controls
• Strong organisational skills
• Strong experience with Microsoft Excel
