JOB DESCRIPTION:
Quantity Surveyor required for a large nationwide construction company that specialises in maintenance projects.
This contract will be a temp to perm basis, with hours being 7:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Process initial enquiries and prepare tender submissions
- Manage and control P&L on all projects and prepare cost value comparisons and projected final accounts.
- Review, approve, sign off weekly / monthly labour, sub-contractor and materials bills for payment.
- Prepare take offs and undertake estimates and final account settlements
- Monitor sub-contractor performance and record additional works for presentation to management
- Reviewing tender and quotation enquiries and evaluate based on opportunity and risk.
- Producing detailed bills of quantities from tender documents and drawings.
- Obtaining competitive quotations from subcontractors & suppliers to prepare detailed financial estimates.
- Prepare and finalise tender reports
- Co-operate with the Business Development team to ensure that tenders are submitted in a timely fashion and to a high standard of presentation.
- Attend mid and post tender interviews with the client where appropriate.
- On successful bids, attend meetings with the Production Manager and delivery team, and present handover with appropriate documentation and full financial break down
Requirements for the role
- Qualification in Quantity Surveying
- Previous experience in health care and refurbishment sectors is advantageous
- Computer literate
- Driving licence
- Able to commute to Tamworth, Cannock and Burtwood areas
