Quantity Surveyor - QS - Groundworks & Civils

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor support the successful delivery of the client's business needs by providing a professional quantity surveying service based in the midlands.

The service is to be undertaken in accordance with high professional standards and business principles in compliance with regulatory and company procedures and policies.

YOU'LL NEED

• Relevant Experience
• 3+ years' experience of managing medium to large projects.
• Preferably qualified to ICES or RICS accreditation
• Strong IT skills and ability to embrace new technology and systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• CSCS Card
• Experience in managing commercial aspects of construction and civils related projects or

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure safe Working practice.
• To obtain competitive prices from various suppliers for all tender quotations to reduce costs for both us and the client.
• Establish and maintain appropriate contract and supplier relationship
• To produce tender quotations for various construction contracts, giving detailed analysis of the works required and how they are to be carried out by our relevant Site Manager.
• To arrange site meetings with subcontractors to obtain quotations for subcontracted works.
• To obtain competitive prices from various suppliers for all tender quotations to reduce costs for both us and the client.
• Negotiate and resolve contract claims/disputes and support senior managers in the resolution of escalated issues.
• To undertake necessary training as and when required, in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and Company requirements.
• Proactively manage and mitigate commercial and business risk.
